Rites of passage number 74

Chickie has cut his own hair with scissors.

Thankfully it's not too bad, but it will need tidying up by the hairdresser. He's been wanting to have his hair like Anakin Skywalker in the third Star Wars movie, so we let it grow a little longer. I guess he got a little annoyed with the hair on his forehead (even though it wasn't actually in his eyes or anything) and chopped off a chunk at the front.

Oh well, it's off to the hairdressers today then!

It happens to everyone at least once.

BTW thanks for the kindness you are showing Pip on WOW. He is very social and a bit lonely without his sister at home.

I like that he was going for an actual *look* when he went the hack. Most kids just think Ooh scissors!

Anakin hair.....hilarious. I'm surprised Little Dude hasn't tried that one out yet. He's never done the scissors route (fingers crossed) but I keep his hair pretty short.

It truly is a rite of passage. Abby did hers a few weeks ago, but luckily it wasn't bad... actually not really noticeable at all. Thank goodness you have a boy... it grows in so much quicker.

Let him enjoy his hair while he has it. What I wouldn't give to be able to cut my own bangs again!!

My sons didnt seem to feel the need to cut their hair, though one had a 'shave' which resulted in much blood but little damage. My daughter cut her hair, & both her children have done it! It is indeed a rite of passage.

It definitely happens to every child at some point, either they do it to themselves or someone does it for them...

Just keep him away from the cat!
