Speaking of things toothy...

For those of you with older kids, at what age did they lose their first baby tooth?

Chickie is 4, well ok 5 in a week and a half, and believe it or not, he has a wobbly tooth! Isn't that a bit early? I thought kids started losing them at about 6 or 7.

It's not hugely wobbly but I can feel it. Plus he's finding it a bit uncomfortable eating. Any ideas how long it will take to come out after it starts wobbling? I can't remember back that far... hehe

In other news, I had my yearly performance review at work yesterday. It went well - very well in fact. I got the second highest 'grade'! This has a direct effect on my bonus and payrise. If a bonus is paid, the higher the grade the more money you get (same with payrise). So I'm thrilled :)

Oh and finally - I bought the lastest Sims 2 expansion pack recently (Sims 2 Seasons). I installed it today, so if I don't visit your blog in the next few days, it will be because I'm hanging out in Riverblossom Hills (the new neighbourhood in the game)!

lol At one point I was losing teeth at a rate of 2 a week, it was great fun but the tooth fairy was getting a little skint.

You know, I can't remember?? But somewhere there is a photo of my son aged 6 with a gap! Congrats on the grading at work!! Yay you!

My daughter was behind her friends and she started at 6 or was it 7. Anyway it was a big deal because she was finally catching up. She still has baby teeth and she'll be 11 on Friday.

Sims is dangerous business for me. I try to stay away because it's too easy to get addicted! It's such a silly concept but it totally sucks me in!

Congrats on your work success!
I have forgotten the tooth thing too. But I seem to remember 8 being huge front teeth, which eventually get enough face to downsize them a bit!

So you work in a "carrot and donkey" business.

BTW, I lost 2 baby teeth at 38! The dentist said our family were genetic freaks! I think he was referring to our teeth!

My youngest lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago, just before his sixth birthday.

But he tortured us for WEEKS once it started wiggling. See, he wanted it to come out NOW. Must have been three weeks anyway.

I think all kids are different. half of the kids in my daughters kindergarten class already have 4 missing and the other half haven't lost any. Don't think it takes too long once it is initially loose. I am not looking forward to the day my daughter loses a tooth - I think I will pass out!!

Thanks everyone. I thought he was a bit on the young side for it, but I guess he is growing up - he'll be 5 in less than a week!

He keeps telling me (in a very serious voice) that he's "very concerned about this tooth". I think it feels weird when he's trying to bite stuff.

Chickie is clearly a teething prodigy! It seems to be most common in Prep year when the kids are 5-6 years old. But everyone's different, it's like babies growing their first.

Once I found out that I got money for them I started to help them get loose...in a very violent way.

I had and early addiction to Pinball, most notibly 8-Ball Deluxe.

Gnat.

He didn't get his baby teeth early though stomper - about average according to the books. It's still about as loose as it was so no idea if it will come out anytime soon.

gnat - ouch! Chickie has told me the tooth fairy will bring him money but he doesn't seem to interested in helping the tooth out. In fact he gets annoyed with me if I'm not careful enough when brushing his teeth. Perhaps that will change.

Thanks h! And yes, I'm loving Seasons. I'm way behind in my blog reading though - hehe.
