I picked up some chicken schnitzels from the supermarket tonight (quick and easy were the order of the day today) and found this printed on the back of the black plastic tray:

Remove from packet before cooking.

I'm sure someone has either done it or called to make sure they shouldn't. It's kind of like the warnings on strollers "CAUTION: Do not fold with child in the stroller." They seriously have those on them.
LOL. I once cooked a chicken with the plastic packet which contained the giblets & neck tucked into the cavity! I hadnt even realised they were in there! They dont put them in there now, as they realised they can sell them seperately!
charm school - some warnings I could understand - do not fold with child in stroller is not one of them!
meggie - I can understand doing that - I'd probably do it myself! It's not like you can see them inside there (and really who actually wants to put their hand inside a chicken?)
Well thanks for the suggestion LOL personally I'd like the package melted to make a crispy casing served with salsa and a sprig of parsley.
The sad part is someone had to have done it or they wouldn't have printed it on the package.
I'm sure there is a reason they put that on the package! Ha ha ha!

I'm now using bloglines quite a bit. Makes it easier to see who's posted rather than open each blog daily. Mind you I'm still in the process of adding all my usuals.
Oh, and ouch with the hedge trimmers!

Actually that isn't an unreasonable request. I buy pot-pies sometimes, and you leave them in the box when you pop them in the microwave.
Of course I will deny ever having cooked any type of frozen dinner in a microwave...
