It's 39 degrees (102 F) outside - and I've spent the day wearing a tshirt and jeans (gotta love the casual dress policy at work) and wondering if I should have brought a jacket to work. One of the other girls in my team was wearing her jacket and I think that might have been a smart idea!
The air conditioning in our building is weird. Sometimes it feels like we wear warmer clothes in summer than in winter. I'm told it's kept to about 22 degrees (71) but I'm not convinced. Some days we're shivering a lot of the time.
I just hope we don't have power outages when it starts to get really hot. Sometimes in January/February we'll have weeks where the temperatures are 40+ for over a week. We tend to get power outages then, usually due to the load on the power grid, though sometimes we've had bushfires cause them in the past. Dressing in warmer clothes when that happens is awful! Perhaps I should be keeping a change of clothes in my car.
I once worked in a refrigerated environment (smallgoods packing company) over the summer school holidays and actually enjoyed the temperatures there. Possibly because we didn't have aircon at home growing up (mum and dad love the heat - I only really tolerate it). I prefer winter to summer myself - though it doesn't get anywhere cold enough to snow, so it's not freezing, just cooler. I have to wonder, if I liked the temperatures in that job, why am I having a problem with it being too cold now?
What about you? Are you a cold weather person or a warm weather person?

I prefer the cold weather BUT I hate being cold. How weird is that? I love wearing tons of clothes and beanies and scarves just to stay warm but I hate when they don't work!
COLD ROCKS! When you're cold you can always warm up, but when you're hot you can never ever cool down.
I like pleasant weather, not too hot because I can't stand air conditioning!! Give me 25ÂșC and low, low humidity!
Here via Michele's!
If you enjoy cold weather, come to Chicago!! It's 9 degrees F today!! Try keeping warm in that crap!! I LOVE hot weather and HATE air conditioning!! A 90 degree day is perfect for me! I wish I was an aussie today during my almost mile walk to work from the train station! An hour later and my feet arestill numb!!
Mild. Definately a mild weather person. I hate the cold but equally I'm not keen on it being too hot though that may have something to do with the lack of airconditioning we have.
Warm, Please...I much prefer the warm weather because I tyhink now that I am older and I have been living in Southern California for so very many years---my blood has thinned out....So, I cannot take the cold anymore and frankly, don't want to....And I wouldn't be happy in that very cold Air Conditioning you described....it's like it's HOT HOT HOT outside, and Wintery COLD inside...Confusing to the body, for sure! (lol)
Ooooops! Forgot to say Michele sent me today!
I prefer hot weather, but I still complain about it. I am from Fresno, Ca and it gets HOT in the summer. Though I do prefer the cold weather when it comes to sleeping. Nothing better than curling up in a nice warm toasty bed! Thanks for stopping by...
I don't function well in extreme conditions either way.
I did find one good point to the arctic aircon at work.
When you go from arctic to getting into a car parked in the sun in that heat, it feels pleasant instead of blisteringly hot.
Didn't you leave a comment on my blog about air-conditioning?
I know where you're comming from though, because of where my desk is at work, I get twice as much airconditioning as anyone else. I'm still wearing long sleeved shirts at work, yet next weekend when my youngest stepdaughter is away, we'll be sitting out on the back verandah in the evening in the nude, just to keep cool.
I *HATE* office air conditioning. I used to have a little fan heater under my desk to combat it, and also had a big coat under there too - and i'd sometimes be wearing it in Summer, as the air inside was so frigid ( apparently set at 22deg too - what a farce ! )
I'm Miss Mild .. in the fact I love Spring and Autumn best :)
.. but i'd rather be hot than cold ...
Hiya,
I sometimes think I am cold blooded.
I too have a fan heater under my desk, and many times I have turned it on in the summer to combat the air con.
I hate the cold so much, alone I love to crank the thermostat to 30 when my hubby goes to work and i find the car the best place to get warm,.,,.,.
your not alone,
Love Claire
