By the power of Grayskull...

I went and saw Hot Fuzz today - loved it! If you liked Shaun of the Dead, go see Hot Fuzz. It's very funny. If you've seen it you'll recognise the title of this post.

If you have seen it, can you tell me how you would describe the segues between various bits of action? I really don't know how to describe that style. I found it really effective for this movie though.

Usually I'm a chick flick fan but this was a nice change of pace. Comedy still but definitely not a chick flick!

Then tonight I watched the last episode of Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee on SBS. I really quite liked it. I might have to go search out the book.

You know, thinking about what sort of movies I like, you'd think I'd watch a lot of tv shows that are along the chick flick lines. To be honest though, I can't even think of any shows I watch that would fall into that category. The closest would be Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee, and it doesn't quite fit. My fave shows at the moment are NCIS, House, Medium and Bones. Funnily enough all on an investigative theme.

So what shows are you watching at the moment? Are they the same genre as movies you like to watch?

I think, but don't hold me to this, that the next series of New Tricks is about to start over here. Will tell you if it does, but obviously not what happens!

The last thing I saw at the cinema was I, Robot!

I've never heard of New Tricks. I've never seen it advertised in tv here either, so I looked it up. Sounds like it would be just my style :) Think I'll have to go searching.

Do you watch Dr Who at all? If so, has the latest season started over there yet? We've had that one a few months behind you, the last few years, so hopefully it will be on again soon.

New Tricks is great fun, and can't wait for new Doctor Who. I didn't realise Hot Fuzz was out here in Australia, I'll be rushing to see that one to get a Bill Bailey fix!

House addict here... Wednesday night is our television night as we also watch Spicks and Specks and Extras

no, the next series of Doctor Who is due on soon (sometime in Spring 2007). I'll let you know when it starts. MrV got me the first series with David Tennant in for Christmas as I missed most of them when they showed on tv - they are on when we are having dinner.

Grrr no news from the Beeb about New Tricks. They've been showing the last series on Monday nights recently which makes me think that they are going to show the new one soon....

Keep an eye open for Thieves Like Us which has just finished its first series over here. Its's a comedy and very well written.

stomper - I like spicks and specks too but it clashes and our video is not great. You'll like Hot Fuzz :)

House looks like it will be good tomorrow. Hope it lives up to the ads.

velcro - please do let me know when dr who starts again there. Eagerly awaiting it here!

Thieves Like Us also looks interesting. Another one to keep an eye out for - thanks :)

I've never heard of any of those shows except House, Bones, Medium and NCIS. I've never heard of Hot Fuzz either, but I have heard of Shaun of the Dead.

I only see chick flicks and kiddie movies at the theater. We went and saw Pursuit of Happyness but I'd rather forget I ever saw that one, let alone paid $40 for the "privilege".

The shows I watch religiously are : NCIS, One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy (and Beauty and the Geek before the season ended). Other shows I'll watch if I remember : Super Nanny and Wife Swap. I used to watch Criminal Minds religiously but it conflicts with OTH.

I ALSO used to be completely addicted to Law and Order (all of 'em) but after Lenny (Jerry Orbach) died, all of them lost their shine.

I'm in L-O-V-E with crime shows.

Do you guys get "The Office". I love that show.

I can't wait to see Hot Fuzz! Looks really funny.

charm school - I never really got into the law and order shows. Occasionally watch a bit of svu but I can't take it when kids are involved (I've become the biggest softie around apparently). Of what I've seen, I didn't mind the investigative bits but the court bits bored me. So not into court type dramas.

winter - the office is funny. I've seen both the UK and US versions. Hope you like Hot Fuzz - I sure did!
