Happier post as promised!

I found the upside to having lower levels than usual - it made me feel better about being a bit naughty (food-wise)!

I'm still on the lower side of things today, so with lunch I had a whole bread roll. I adore fresh white bread and bread rolls, but I've found that's one thing that my body can't handle too much of. Today though, I had a roll with my lunch and then my manager was handing out donuts (cinnamon sugar) and I figured 'why not!'. I haven't had a donut in aaaages. Two hours later and I was at 7.1 [127] - smack bang in the middle of the range I aim for.

Not to mention - it's the weekend!!! Gotta love that :)

As for plans - not much so far. I was thinking of going to see 'The Devil Wears Prada". Anyone seen it? Is it good?

Cinnamon sugar?! We never have anything as exoctic. Seems to me most things such as sweets (or candy) in the US contain cinnamon. Is it the same down under or just doughnuts? lol

The Devil Wears Prada is dreadful. I hated all the characters.

Meryl Streep turns in a great performance, and if you're a huge fan of her work, perhaps it's worth the price of admission.

Other than that, run... run like the wind.

carmelo - our plain donuts are usually dusted in cinnamon sugar, but not a lot of lollies otherwise have cinnamon. That said - we are starting to see a few things, including my new favourites - hot cinnamon sugarfree
'mints'

matthew - thanks for the tip. I'm not an especially big fan of Meryl Streep. I've seen exactly one preview of the movie and it looked kinda amusing. Too often though, they show all the best bits in the previews so they end up better than the movies themselves.

I haven't seen The Devil Wears Prada, but would like to, I hear it's good. However, I just now read that Matthew, one of your commenters said it is dreadful. Maybe I'll start with the book.

Cas
thanks for stopping by.

Hi leah and cassie-b - thanks for dropping by :)

I'm still undecided about the movie. Since there's nothing much else on it's either the Devil wears Prada or not bother going. I'll decide tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting my site and I plan to do much more reading on yours :) -- diabetes is so difficult to control but I am glad to see you doing your best to. I have two aunts, an uncle and a Dad who just don't seem to care about theirs and continue to take their own health and well-being for granted.

mar - I didn't end up seeing the movie yet, still thinking about it since I have this friday off as well.

mbic - me too, so I was very pleased to be able to treat myself. Chocolate glazed are my favourite.

sue - thanks for dropping by. I'm trying my best to control the diabetes, I think it helps that we caught it early
